Military PCS Planning Tools
Free calculators for every financial entitlement on a PCS move — DLA, per diem, housing, PPM, weight allowance, TLE/TLA, and more.
A PCS move comes with a stack of financial entitlements that most service members never fully optimize — because figuring out what you're owed requires reading the Joint Travel Regulations, understanding which pay grade multipliers apply, and cross-referencing allowance tables that the DoD updates annually. These tools pull the 2026 JTR rates and do that math for you so you can plan your move budget accurately, decide whether a PPM makes financial sense, and make sure you're submitting a complete travel voucher when you arrive.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these PCS calculators official DoD tools?
No. These are independent estimation tools built by BaseReady using the official 2026 Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) rates as inputs. They are designed to help you plan and budget before orders are finalized. Always verify final entitlements with your finance office and the official JTR at travel.dod.mil before submitting vouchers.
What is the difference between DLA and per diem?
DLA (Dislocation Allowance) is a one-time lump-sum payment to offset the general costs of relocating — it does not require receipts. Per diem covers daily lodging and meal costs incurred during authorized travel days between the losing and gaining installation, and is tied to the specific route and number of travel days authorized on your orders.
What is a PPM / DITY move and when does it make financial sense?
A Personally Procured Move (PPM, formerly DITY) means you move your own household goods instead of using the government's contracted movers. The government pays you 95% of what it would have cost them to move that weight. If you move efficiently (renting a truck and doing it yourself), you can pocket the difference as tax-free income. The PPM estimator shows your break-even point and projected profit based on your authorized weight allowance.
